SUSTAINEXT PROJECT HOLDS ITS FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN SEVILLE (SPAIN)

Six months after the celebration of the official launch and kick-off meeting of the SustaiNext project, its whole consortium gathered again to hold the first General Assembly in Seville (southern Spain) from 22nd to 24th November 2023.

It was a fruitful opportunity for the representatives of the 21 partners that make up the consortium to explain in depth their role in the project and to update on all the progress that has been made in every Work Package in this early period, as well as to remind them of pending tasks for the next six months.

The groundwork was also laid for important decisions to be taken, especially by the Steering Committee, such as the selection of the Advisory Board and the choice of the venue for the next general assembly, which will take place after the first year of the project’s implementation.

Besides, some workshops and interactive sessions were held to share ideas, identify challenges and barriers and solve doubts about aspects that affect all partners, like data collection tasks or financial guidelines.

Natac, coordinator of the project, made a great effort, not only to give a voice to each of the partners but also to share the most panoramic vision of the consortium as a whole and its common progress, while reinforcing the unique role that each individual plays in it. For its part, our partner Arram Consultores acted as the perfect host for the event in the Andalusian capital.

All the information and developments that emerged during the sessions ensure that SustaiNext, the first flagship project funded by Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) that aims to transform the traditional botanical extracts industry, is on the right track and encourage the common future ahead of the consortium.

The project is supported by the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking and its members.
