On April 9, Natac’ welcomed a group of students from I. E. S Valle de Ambroz to SustaiNext flagship in Hervás (Extremadura) as part of an educational visit to bring industrial innovation closer to the local community.
The visit provided students with the opportunity to learn first-hand insights into Natac’s activities, the operation of its facilities and its role in developing advanced solutions in the biocircularuty sector.
During the session, students were guided through an overview of the plan’s operations, learning how agricultural raw materials are processed and transformed into high-value botanical extracts and biobased ingredients.
A key part of the visit was dedicated to presenting SustaiNext project, focused on developing next-generation, digitalised and zero-waste biorefinery processes.
By providing direct exposure to real industrial environments, initiatives like this help foster interest in science, sustainability, and emerging career opportunities within strategic sectors such as the bioeconomy and biocircularity.
This activity is aligned with SustaiNext’s multi-actor approach, which promotes the active involvement of local communities and stakeholders in the transition towards a sustainable bio-based economy.
