The SustaiNext consortium gathered in Essen (Germany) from 16 to 18 June 2026 for the project’s 6th General Assembly, hosted by project partner MIAVIT. The meeting brought together representatives from across the consortium to review the progress achieved over the first 36 months of the project, discuss ongoing activities and align priorities for the next implementation phase.

Throughout the General Assembly, partners presented the latest developments across the project’s work packages, covering demonstration activities, sustainability assessments, stakeholder engagement, communication and dissemination, project management, and technical achievements as the project reached month 36. Dedicated sessions were also held to address technical challenges and review upcoming project activities.

A key highlight of the event was the visit to MIAVIT’s facilities in Essen, where partners gained first-hand insight into the company’s expertise in functional feed additives and animal nutrition solutions. As leader of the activities dedicated to validating plant extracts and fibre-rich ingredients for feed applications, MIAVIT plays a key role in assessing the industrial potential of several SustaiNext value chains. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to connect project developments with real industrial applications while strengthening collaboration among partners.

In addition to the working sessions, the meeting fostered networking and knowledge exchange among consortium members, reinforcing the collaborative spirit that underpins the SustaiNext project.

As the project enters its second half, the General Assembly provided an important opportunity to assess progress, strengthen collaboration across the consortium and prepare the next stages of demonstration and exploitation.
