On 28 January, SustaiNext participated in the BioCircular Summit 2026 within the BioInnovation Area, presenting a poster dedicated to its Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA) approach.
The poster showcased how the S-LCA methodology analyses the creation of social value in the Extremadura region and assesses potential impacts on farmers, cooperatives, biorefinery workers, and other regional stakeholders.
By integrating social sustainability assessment into the development of the biorefinery concept, SustaiNext goes beyond environmental performance to address the broader socio-economic dimension of the bio-based transition. This work ensures that the project not only delivers technological innovation but also fosters inclusive and territorially anchored development.
The presentation generated strong interest among Summit attendees, highlighting the growing relevance of social impact assessment in large-scale bio-based industrial initiatives.
